About the Artist
Jeanne Mita-Steffener studied drawing at the Art Institute of Chicago. She received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois (Urbana, IL) and a BFA in Painting from the University of Washington. Her oil paintings, prints, and drawings have been displayed in corporate and private collections throughout the USA and Canada under her maiden name, Mita.
In addition to her fine art endeavors, Jeanne formed Ink Designs, a commercial art studio in Chicago, IL, in 1980. Her commercial art has won local and national awards for design and production. Since selling Ink Designs and moving to Snohomish, WA, in 1988, Jeanne has been able to concentrate her creative efforts on her fine art. While she is an emerging visual artist, Jeanne has many years of experience in the art industry.
